Ms. Kelly Sterner Appointed New Finance Director for the Public Schools of Chester, Deep River, Essex and Region 4

KELLY STERNER APPOINTED NEW FINANCE DIRECTOR FOR THE PUBLIC SCHOOLS OF CHESTER, DEEP RIVER, ESSEX AND REGION 4 On April 3, 2020 the Supervision District Board of Education unanimously approved the appointment of Ms. Kelly Sterner as Finance Director, effective July 1, 2020. Ms. Sterner has served as Finance Director of the Town of Essex for the past 17 years. Brian J. White, Superintendent of Schools, stated, “Ms. Sterner possesses not only the credentials and experience necessary to oversee our business office, but she is also uniquely qualified to understand and address the challenges of overseeing the finances for the Supervision District and the schools of Chester, Deep River, Essex and Region 4. I am confident that Ms. Sterner will be an invaluable asset to our central office, our schools, and the community.” Ms. Sterner's appointment is the culmination of an extensive search and interview process in which a diverse population of stakeholders were invited to participate including: administration; staff; board of education members; and the chair of each town's board of finance.
