On December 3rd, 2019 the town of Essex was awarded Bronze level certification by Sustainable CT at the Connecticut Conference of Municipalities!! Sustainable CT is a statewide initiative that supports CT communities in becoming more sustainable, resilient, and inclusive. Essex was one of 33 towns in CT that met the high standards in a broad range of sustainability actions to qualify for certification. Sustainable CT is managed under the leadership of the Institute for Sustainable Energy at Eastern Connecticut State University. Congratulations to the Sustainable Essex team!!!
