Northeast Baroque Equestrian Games
The 2017 Baroque Equestrian Games Northeast Classical Show was held on Saturday, July 15th at the High Hopes Therapeutic Riding Center in Old Lyme, CT. The Games is an artistic riding competition like no other celebrating the elegance and artistry of Classical Horsemanship. It is comprised of four sections harkening back to an age of grace and enlightenment: Ground Work, Classical Schooling, Mounted Maneuvers and Musical Presentation.
Jillian A. Nielsen, of Ivoryton, CT, riding her horse Top Gun, competed and won First Place in Initiate Groundwork, Second Place in Classical Schooling and First Place and overall High Point for her musical presentation “Defying Gravity” from Wicked”. Jillian trains and competes in competitive and classical dressage. Clinics and lessons on classical horsemanship preceding the Games were conducted with Sr. Bruno Gonzalez and Tina Cristiani Veder founders of the Baroque Equestrian Games and Institute.
