The North Haven Rotary Club has a new president. Mark Minotti was named Rotary President for the 2016-2017 year during a new officers installation dinner held June 29 at Anthony’s Ocean View in New Haven. Outgoing president Rick Bassett passed the gavel off to Minotti, whose yearlong goals include continuing the North Haven club’s involvement in local, state, national, and global charities. The North Haven Rotary has been involved in helping numerous organizations such as the Special Olympics, Kids for Kids, and have provided scholarships for Quinnipiac & NHHS students, as well as hosting community suppers at St. John’s. Like many members of the North Haven Rotary Club, Minotti is a local business owner, and was named North Haven Citizen of the Year in 2014. He received a Paul Harris Fellowship Award & The prestigious Rotary International, "Service Above Self" Award in 2009-10.
