Pendleton Invitational Raises Money to Support the Trades
The 2016 Pendleton Invitational Golf & Dinner inaugural event that was held on June 7, 2016 was a huge success! The Invitational was held at Clinton Country Club with 52 members and non-members participating in a golf tournament to honor Ron Pendleton who passed away last June. The Invitational was followed by a dinner event at Rocky's Aqua in Clinton with close to 150 guests.
There were many items donated for a charitable raffle. Raffle items included: gift cards to many local restaurants such as Rocky's Aqua, Donahue's Beach Grille, Liv's Oyster Bar, Tea Kettle Restaurant, Café Routier & Haywire Burger Bar. Shore TV & Appliance donated a 40" LCD Smart TV, as well as many other generous auction items which raised $2,681.44.
The raffle proceeds are being donated to Vinal Technical High School in Middletown, CT to help children in need get their tools to start a career in the trades. Ron Pendleton was a 1963 Graduate in Carpentry from Vinal Tech in Middletown, CT which launched his 40+ year career as a carpenter and then successful self-employed General Contractor.
Thank you to the Clinton Country Club & Rocky's Aqua for their generosity to make this event happen. For additional information, contact debbie@stopware.com.
