Connecticut Charter and Party Boat Association to Plan Charity Deep Sea Fishing Event
Deep sea fishing excursion that will Benefit Children is being planned by the Connecticut Charter Party Boat Association (CCPBA). This event will be the first of it’s kind for the association and they have chosen Channel 3 Kids Camp as the beneficiary.
On July 26, 2016, CCPBA boats will gather at Mago Point Marina in Waterford. The event will have a shotgun start and the boats will fish proximal to one another. At a price of just $75 per angler, this is a very affordable way to have fun and benefit a charity at the same time. Price includes 4 hour plus fishing trip with bait and tackle included. Upon return t the dock, fish such as scup, fluke and seabass will be weighed in competition for trophies and prizes. The boats will depart the docks at 1:00pm and return at 6pm. Each participant will also be presented with a captain’s bag filled with an event t-shirt, event program book and gifts provided by our event sponsors that include Gold sponsor Raymarine, Silver sponsor, Defender and Bronze sponsors Nutmeg State Financial Credit Union, ABC Supply Co. and Cabela’s.
The Connecticut Charter and Party Boat Association (CCPBA) is composed of 40 charter boats fishing in the Western, Central, and Eastern Long Island Sound. Their professional captains have verified credentials, are held to the highest ethical standards and are out on the water everyday often acting as the shepherds of their area. For this event these captains have not only donated their time but their boats, mates and proven fishing techniques. What’s unique about this trip is whether you’re a single person looking to fish or you’re a full party of six, they can accommodate.
