Professional Organizers donate Children's Books
The National Association of Professional Organizers – Connecticut Chapter – receives a big thank you from Read to Grow. The Professional Organizers across the state collected new and gently used children’s books from their client jobs in January as a part of National Get Organized month. On January 15th, they donated 3427 to the Branford-based Books for Kids program. Read to Grow distributes an average of 1600 new and gently used children’s books on a weekly basis to children in hospitals, health care clinics, child care centers, schools and library programs across the state. Many of the children in these programs have few, if any, books of their own. With the gift of books, the program strives to help parents better understand the importance of early literacy and reading, as well as to instill in children a love of language and books.
