Free Instruments Available to CT Schools
Horns For Kids has 62 musical instruments available now — free to Connecticut school music programs. Music teachers and school administrators are encouraged to apply by downloading the application from the Horns for Kids website: http://www.hornsforkids.org. Applications must be received by midnight, Friday, May 8, 2015. Instruments will be awarded to schools, based on need. All instruments are clean, playable, and in excellent condition. There is an excellent variety of woodwind, brass, string and percussion instruments in this group.
Horns For Kids is a non-profit charity that supports music education in Connecticut schools. It awards new and refurbished instruments to deserving school music programs throughout the State. Since 2003, it has awarded 930 instruments to 392 schools in 109 Connecticut towns. If you would like to donate an instrument not presently being used, contact Horns For Kids by calling (203) 288-9771 any weekday between 9am-5pm. Or, visit the website at: http://www.hornsforkids.org. Low brass instruments, saxophones and bowed strings are especially needed. All instrument donations and cash contributions are tax-deductible.
