On Dec. 11, the Amity/North Haven/Cheshire girls’ ice hockey team opened the season at home vs. Trumbull and won 2-1. Goals were scored by Maybelle Caron (unassisted) and Maura Lebreck (assisted by Sophia Jimenez and Gabby Munoz). Ivy Massicotte recorded seven saves in net for the Blades.

On Dec. 14, the team hosted Wilton and won 7-2. In the first period, Caron got the Blades on the board (assisted by Lebreck). Taylor Higgins also added a score, assisted by Olivea Beach, and Emelia Brandi knocked in a goal, with an assist from Caron.

Caron added two unassisted scores in the second period, and in the third frame, Beach scored (unassisted), and Caroline Barto added an unassisted goal. Massicotte had 34 saves.
