The East Haven volleyball team traveled to Nonnewaug on Oct. 14 and fell 3-0. Libby Madonna had 13 digs in the contest.
The Yellowjackets then hosted Hillhouse on Oct. 16 and won 3-0. Kelsey Hinckley had 10 kills, and Alexa Heaphy had seven. Heaphy also had nine aces, and Madonna had nine digs. Eve Backhaus had 22 assists.
On Oct. 18, East Haven hit the road to Hillhouse and earned a 3-0 victory. Hinckley had 11 kills, while Madonna had nine aces and seven digs. Backhaus had 25 assists.
The Yellowjackets concluded the season with a home match vs. Morgan on Oct. 21, when they took a 3-0 loss. Heaphy led the way with seven kills, Madonna had 15 digs, while Lenah Forte had eight. Backhaus added 14 assists.
Boys’ Soccer
East Haven’s Andrew Mendez earned a spot on the All-SCC First Team for his efforts with the boys’ soccer team this fall.
