Football Wins Big, Field Hockey Records Two Victories
Football
The Hand football team hosted Fairfield Prep on Sept. 20 and won 34-3. Quinton O’Dea and Sam Markovitz each had a receiving touchdown, while Cam Oranzo had a rushing touchdown and Tyler Narracci had two. Paul Calandrelli ran for 50 yards and threw for 111.
Boys’ Soccer
Hand boys’ soccer hosted Guilford on Sept. 17 and tied 2-2. Goal scorers for the Tigers were PJ O'Hanlon assisted by Ernesto Barrosa, and Harrison Hodge (unassisted).
Two days later, the Tigers traveled to East Haven and won 3-1. Will McGuire scored two goals, and both of them were assisted by Barrosa. Barrosa also added an unassisted score.
Girls’ Soccer
On Sept. 16, Hand girls’ soccer hosted Shelton and won 3-1.
On Sept 19, the team traveled to Guilford and ended in a 0-0 tie.
Field Hockey
Hand field hockey started the week at home vs. Lauralton Hall on Sept. 16 and won 4-0.
On Sept. 19, the team traveled to Amity and won 3-1.
The Tigers ended the week at home on Sept. 21, facing Glastonbury and losing 3-2.
Volleyball
The Hand volleyball team hit the road to Jonathan Law on Sept. 16 and won 3-2.
Two days later, Hand traveled to Mercy and took a 3-2 loss.
On Sept. 20, the Tigers hosted Wilbur Cross and fell 3-0.
