Volleyball

The North Branford volleyball team traveled to Valley Regional on Sept. 9 and fell 3-0 (25-20, 25-12, 25-21). Lauren Vitarisi was named Player of the Match for the Thunderbirds.

On Sept. 11, the team hit the road to Haddam-Killingworth and took a 3-1 loss.

The Thunderbirds ended the week at Coginchaug on Sept. 13 and fell 3-2.

Football

The North Branford football team traveled to Weaver for its season opener on Sept. 13 and won 54-13. AJ Sigel threw three touchdown passes and ran for two scores in the victory.

Field Hockey

North Branford field hockey traveled to Old Saybrook on Sept. 10 and won 4-0.

Three days later, the team hit the road to Haddam-Killingworth and earned a 1-0 win.

Boys’ Soccer

On Sept. 9, North Branford boys’ soccer hit the road to Cromwell and lost 6-1.

Three days later, the team hosted East Hampton and fell 9-0.

Girls’ Soccer

On Sept. 11, the North Branford girls’ soccer team hosted Cromwell and took an 8-1 loss.

The Thunderbirds then traveled to East Hampton on Sept. 13 and fell 8-0.
