Coach Bill Barker was pleased to present three young men with college scholarships from Madison Hoop Dreams (MHD) at the H-K Middle School in Killingworth during the first week of camp. This is the 30th year doing summer basketball camps and the 17th year as a non - profit; providing over $140,000 in college scholarships and donations to worthy charities. Any person who has attended MHD summer camps is eligible to apply for the college scholarships when they are seniors in high school.

All three recipients attended many weeks of camp each summer from third to ninth grade, and they all went on to be outstanding players in their four years of high school or prep school.

Kyle Hoffman was a captain of the basketball and track teams at Daniel Hand High School and will attend the University of Vermont. Cooper Galdenzi, from Clinton, was a captain of the basketball team at The MacDuffie School, and he will attend the University of Hartford. James LaFrance played his senior year of basketball at The St. Thomas More School and will be attending Eckerd College.
