06/17/2024 12:02 PMOn May 22, the Morgan boys’ and girls’ outdoor track and field teams competed at the Shoreline Conference Championship meet at Portland High School. The Huskies finished the day with 13 medals and two First Team All-Shoreline athletes.
In terms of scoring, the top six in each event earn a medal, third place receives an Honorable Mention to the All-Conference Team, second place earns Second Team honors, and any first place finishers earn spots on the All-Shoreline Conference First Team. For Morgan, Robby Estabrook earned First Team All-Shoreline honors for javelin, and Addy Reed was named to the First Team for the 3200 meters and an Honorable Mention for the 1600. AJ Luke was an Honorable Mention for the 300 hurdles. Estabrook additionally broke a school record that he had set, throwing 174’3” for the javelin.
Additional strong performances at the Shoreline Conference Championship included the boys’ 4x100 team (sixth place), the girls’ 4x100 team (fourth place), Olivia Ruotolo (fifth in 100 hurdles), and Michael Fusco (sixth in 100 meters).
