06/10/2024 01:23 AMThe 44th Annual Branford Road Race takes place on the Branford Green this Father’s Day on Sunday, June 16. Top runners are joining over 2,000 participants to compete for Connecticut’s Five-Mile State Championship. The event includes the Five Mile Race, Two Mile Health Walk, and One Mile Family Fun Run. The Five Mile course features six aid stations and live music at five locations. The community event expects to draw thousands of spectators to the Branford Green.
The post-race celebration on the green includes a brunch for all participants, an awards ceremony, and a Medtronic check presentation. All participants receive a complimentary food ticket with several food options on race morning. Options include a Continental Breakfast, a Pancake Breakfast served at the Branford Rotary Club Tent, or an egg sandwich served at the Italian American Club Tent.
Participants are welcome to head to Stony Creek Brewery afterward for the post-race party. Beer will be provided from 10:15 a.m to 2 p.m. for $14 a ticket. Tickets are available for purchase during online race registration only. Runners may purchase multiple tickets, and runners under 21 are free.

Over the years, Branford Road Race has proudly donated thousands of dollars to local non-profits and community organizations. This year, they will be partnering with the following charities: David and Rhoda Chase Family Movement Disorders Center, Camp Rising Sun, and American Parkinson Disease Association.
