Muhammad Places Fourth at New England Championships

After winning the State Open long jump title, Branford senior Enaji Muhammad finished fourth in the New England Track and Field championships last week.

At the State Open on June 3, Enaji cleared 6 feet, 8 inches. He cleared 6 feet, 5 inches at the New England Championship on June 8 at the University of New Hampshire.

Muhammad capped a spectacular state championship season with his recent performances. He also won the Class MM Championship, where he set a meet record. During the indoor track season, Muhammad finished second at the New England Track and Field Championships.

He also plans to compete in the New Balance Nationals outdoor meet in Philadelphia on Saturday, June 15.
