Amelia Sigersmith Awarded Field Hockey Scholarship

The 2024 Lorraine S. Splain Field Hockey Scholarship was awarded to Amelia Sigersmith, a four-year member of the Old Saybrook High School (OSHS) field hockey Team.

Sigersmith was one of the captains for the 2023-24 OSHS field hockey team, and she earned First Team All-Shoreline and First Team All-State Honors. She was also named Co-Player of the Year for the Shoreline Conference.

Sigersmith was a four year member of the varsity team and a varsity starter for three years at Old Saybrook, and she was also a member of the Old Saybrook lacrosse Team and served as a captain.

Sigersmith is the daughter of Hilary Sigersmith and Lance Sigersmith and has five siblings. Her older sister, Izzy, played field hockey at Old Saybrook and graduated in 2020.

Sigersmith will be attending Quinnipiac University in the fall and will study Entrepreneurship.
