Softball Players Named All-Shoreline, Baseball Wins Two in Tournament Action

Baseball

H-K baseball hosted Portland in the Shoreline Conference Tournament quarterfinals on May 20 and won 12-2. Matt Shea pitched six innings of two-hit ball to get his seventh win. Luke Mauri had two hits and three RBI, and Blake Kamoen, Max Selmer, and Ryan Erskine each added two hits in the 12-hit attack.

The next day, the Cougars hosted Morgan in the semifinals and won a tight 6-5 contest. Kamoen pitched seven innings of four-hit ball to earn his fifth win. Joey Salafia had two hits with an RBI double to lead the Cougars. Erskine, Todd Butler, Selmer, and Evan Aubin also recorded hits for H-K.

Softball

The All-Shoreline Conference softball players were recently announced, and several H-K players were recognized for their efforts on the field this spring. Catcher Grace Natanzon, infielder Ivy McNiel, and outfielder Annabelle Zajac earned First Team honors. Pitcher Emma Giaccone earned a spot on the Second Team, and outfielder Cheyenne LaTouche was an Honorable Mention.

Golf

The H-K golf team hosted Valley Regional on May 23 and won 160-193. Cam Moore was the medalist for the match with a 35. Andrew Crayton earned a 37, Owen Staskelunas recorded a 44, and Axel Kolcio scored a 44.
