Girls’ Tennis Falls in Regular Season Finale, Santos Recognized as All-Shorekine Softball

The All-Shoreline Conference softball players were recently announced. Morgan’s Giovanna Santos earned an Honorable Mention as an infielder.

Girls’ Tennis

Morgan girls’ tennis hosted Westbrook on May 22 for the final match of the regular season and fell 4-3. Rachel Spaziano won at No. 2 singles (6-0, 6-3). Kayla Mullone earned a third singles win (6-3, 6-2), and Sara Morrissey won at No. 4 singles (6-2, 6-4).

Golf

The Morgan golf team traveled to Guilford on May 20 for a match that also included Branford. Guilford won the contest with a 155, followed by Branford with a 160, and Morgan with a 192. Jack Nye earned a 46 on the course. Kolby Clifton and Luke McComiskey each recorded a 48. Patrick O’Neil earned a 50, and Robert Bergman had a 55.

The next day, the team competed in the Shoreline Conference Championship at Stanley Golf Course and finished eight out 12 teams with a score of 360. Scores for the Huskies included Nye (83), Clifton (92), Sean Davis (92), and O’Neil (93).

On May 22, the Huskies hosted Branford and fell 161-172. Nye recorded a 40, O’Neil scored a 42, Clifton earned a 43, Davis earned a 47, and Jacob Jones recorded a 55.
