Golf Takes Third in Tri-Match, Boys’ Lacrosse Earns Two Wins

The North Branford golf team hosted Coginchaug and Haddam-Killingworth on April 22. The Thunderbirds placed third with an overall score of 199. Jack O’Brien was the medalist for the match and scored a 40. Robert Cappella scored a 46, Jack Monde scored a 46, and Chris Piercy earned a 67.
Boys’ Lacrosse
North Branford boys’ lacrosse traveled to Old Lyme on April 23 and won 8-6. Cam Lacroix had two goals and three assists, Brady Martinik recorded two goals and two assists, AJ Sigel had two goals, Connor Stoner had one goal, and Ben Iamunno added one goal. Goalkeeper Jack Maley recorded 10 saves.
The team then hosted Haddam-Killingworth on April 25 and took an 11-5 loss. Martinik had four goals, Luke Blomster added two assists, Sigel scored one goal, and Lacroix had one assist. Maley recorded 11 saves in net.
The team ended the week at Branford on April 27 and earned an 11-3 win. Lacroix scored four goals and added two assists, Martinik had two goals and two assists, Lucas Vollono had two goals, Braden Burns added one goal and one assist, Stoner scored one goal, Mark Borzillo added one goal, and Max Becker added an assist. Maley recorded three saves in goal, and Pat Ford also had three saves.
