Boys’ Lacrosse Wins a Big One at Home

The Old Saybrook boys’ lacrosse team hosted Cromwell on April 23 under the lights and won 18-1. Scoring for the Rams were senior captain Brayden Cody (five goals), junior Liam Roberts (four goals), senior captain Aiden D'Anna (two), junior Wes Percival (two), junior Brendan Cassella (two goals plus five assists), sophomore Brandon Hestor (one), senior Luke Webb (one), and senior Jacob DeAngelo (one).
Defensively, junior goalie Cole Lawson made two saves and allowed zero goals. Freshman goalie Jonathan Craparo saw his first varsity minutes. The defense posted a season-high of 78% successful clears, while the attack posted a season-high of 68% successful rides (preventing Cromwell’s clears from their defensive zone).
