Guilford girls’ basketball played in the first round of the SCC Tournament on Feb. 15, falling 53-36 vs. Amity. Keira Reynolds led the way for the Grizzlies with 20 points, followed by Alexa Kukta with nine points. Izzy Lopez added three points, and Sophie Creamer and Alaysia Kittrell scored two points each.
The team then entered the Class L State Tournament as the No. 22 seed, facing No. 11 New Canaan in the first round on Feb. 27 and falling 62-41. Reynolds scored 18 points in the loss, and Kukta added eight. Emme Votto (seven points), Lopez (three points), Maddie Welch (three points), and Creamer (two points) also contributed.
