Fencing Produces Gold Medalist at Novice Championship

Fencing
On Jan. 29, the North Branford/Amity Regional co-ed fencing team traveled to Morgan for a match with Lyme/Old Lyme. The men’s epee squad grabbed a 5-4 win over Morgan, and women’s epee also grabbed a victory (5-4). Women’s epee also recorded a 7-2 win over Lyme/Old Lyme. Men’s epee now stands at a 4-2 record, while women’s epee stands at 4-3.
In the Novice Championships on Feb. 3, Logan Green of Vinal Tech High School, who fences with North Branford, won the gold medal in men’s epee. North Branford’s Jayden Balliu took 11th place in that event, and Marcus Brindisi, also of North Branford, took 18th.
