Girls’ Ice Hockey Earns a Win and a Loss on the Week

Girls’ Ice Hockey

Amity/Cheshire/North Haven girls’ ice hockey hosted West Haven/SHA on Jan. 17 and lost 4-2. Goal scorers for the Blades were Emelia Brandi (assisted by Elaina Scasino) and Sophia Jimenez (unassisted). Ivy Massicotte manned the net, and recorded 21 saves.

The team then traveled to face the Hamden Co-op on Jan. 20 and won 3-2. Jimenez scored the first goal for the Blades, and it was assisted by Scasino and Abigail Fitol. Fitol found the net in the second period, and her score was assisted by Jimenez and Cadence Fasano. Maybelle Caron scored the game-winning goal in overtime, and it was unassisted. Kylie Schwab recorded 21 saves in goal.
