As we enter a new year and runners prepare to participate in the 2024 Boston Marathon this upcoming April, several local athletes have already dipped their feet in the water, competing in the 2023 race. Last year, the race had 403 representatives from Connecticut.

Representing Guilford in 2023 were Edmund Chung (who also ran in 2022 and recorded a time of 3:16:30), Ellie Holabird, Tim Kesselring, and Richard Weissmann, who competed in 2022 and ran a 4:30:24. Although it was a rainy day for last year’s race, there is always a lot of excitement and hype surrounding the event, and Guilford expects to see more local participation in the 2024 edition of the biggest marathon event in the world.
