The Guilford wrestling team continued its success on Jan. 10, when the squad hosted Branford and won 42-33. Andrew Plancon kicked off the day with a win for the Grizzlies at 113 pounds (by fall at 4:57). Dante Bilskis (120 pounds) won by fall at 3:56, and Alex Uzzo (132 pounds) won by fall at 1:03. Elijah McDermott won the 144-pound match by fall at 3:07, and Owen Pelletier-Stephens followed with a win by fall at 2:27 in the 150-pound dual. Jean-Paul Meguerditchian won at 175 pounds by fall at 3:16, and Jonah Labbadia-Colon rounded out the scoring with a victory at 215 pounds by fall (1:00).

On Jan. 13, the Grizzlies traveled to Staples to face Fairfield Prep, Foran, Maloney, Northwestern, Simsbury, Stratford, and Westhill. The team took a 46-27 loss head-to-head vs. Foran. Plancon by by a 7-0 decision in the 113-pound bout, and Uzzo won at 132 pounds by fall (0:24). McDermott won at 144 pounds (by fall at 2:20), while Meguerditchian won at 175 pounds by fall (3:15). Two other victories for the Grizzlies included Tim Hastings at 215 pounds (5-2 decision), and Logan Murphy at 285 pounds (8-4 decision).

When going up against Maloney, the Grizzlies grabbed a 48-30 victory. Uzzo won the 132-pound matchup by fall (4:31), and McDermott won the 144-pound bout by fall (4:45).Dominic Bilskis (157 pounds) won by fall at 2:58, and Garrett Mace (165 pounds) won by fall at 1:46. Meguerditchian won by fall at 175 pounds (3:04), while Labbadia-Colon (190 pounds) won by fall at 0:51. Hastings also earned a win by fall at 0:52 at 215 pounds.

Guilford also went up against Staples in the match, taking a 40-36 loss. Plancon won by fall at 113 pounds (5:07), while Uzzo won by a 6-0 decision at 132 pounds. McDermott won by a 7-3 decision at 144 pounds, and Meguerditchian earned a win at 175 pounds by forfeit. Labbadia-Colon pulled out a win by fall at 190 pounds (0:49), Hastings won at 215 pounds by fall (0:56), and Murphy won at 285 pounds by fall (1:47).

Guilford took on Stratford in the same match, grabbing a commanding 58-20 victory. Uzzo (132 pounds) won by fall at 0:09. McDermott (144 pounds) won by fall at 0:43, and Pelletier-Stephens (150 pounds) won by fall at 1:19. Dominic Bilskis recorded a win 157 pounds by fall (0:47), and Mace won at 165 pounds by fall at 4:16. Hastings (215 pounds) won by an 11-2 major decision.
