Sweeney Named Conference Goalie of the Year While Football Grabs a Win

Football

On Nov. 16, Morgan-Old Saybrook-Westbrook football traveled to Valley Regional/Old Lyme and won 54-34.

Boys’ Soccer

Old Saybrook boys’ soccer faced No. 5 Holy Cross in the semifinals of the Class S State Tournament on Nov. 15 at Jonathan Law and won 2-1.

Kevin Decapua, London Sweeney, and Brayden Cody were all named to the All-Shoreline Conference First Team. On the Second Team for the Rams were Brendan Cassella and Drew Kulmann, while Jack Morin was an Honorable Mention. Sweeney also earned Goalie of the Year for the conference, and Decapua was named Player of the Year.

Field Hockey

Amelia Sigersmith, Ayla D’Anna, and Kendall Dobratz were all named to the All-Shoreline Conference First Team for the 2023 fall season. Sigersmith also earned co-Player of the Year for the conference. Grace Desmond, Leah Slisz, and Erin Fiorelli earned Second Team honors, and Lila Cadley was an Honorable Mention. Head Coach Nancy Gatta earned co-Coach of the Year.
