In the third frame, the Thunderbirds took the lead again with a touchdown to take a 24-20 lead. MSW received the ball back and marched it down the field for a Nye rushing touchdown and successful two-point try to make it a 28-24 game. North branford would go on to score two more touchdowns, and successfully kick a point after try to give them a nine-point lead with 1:50 left on the clock. MSW would add on one more touchdown their score, but it was not enough to catch up.
