T-Birds’ Field Hockey Completes Undefeated Regular Season; Volleyball Notches Two Wins

Football

North Branford football played host to Valley Regional/Old Lyme on Oct. 27 and took a 10-6 loss in the contest.

Field Hockey

Field hockey played one game last week, traveling to Branford on Oct. 24 and winning 3-2. Senior Sophia Toto scored twice, and senior Lindsey Onofrio scored once. Sophomore Ashlyn O’Rourke was in net for the Thunderbirds and earned six saves. North Branford is undefeated in regular season play with a 16-0-0 record, and the team is currently ranked No. 1 in both Class S and the Shoreline Conference.

Boys’ Soccer

The North Branford boys’ soccer squad played host to Platt Tech on Oct. 24 and lost 3-1. Two days later, Wright Tech came to town and the Thunderbirds notched a victory via forfeit.

Girls’ Soccer

Thunderbirds girls’ soccer traveled to Amistad on Oct. 24 and grabbed a 6-0 win. The next day, North Branford played on home turf vs. Coginchaug, and the team took a 9-0 loss.

Girls’ Volleyball

Girls’ volleyball lost a tight 3-2 contest at home vs. East Hampton on Oct. 23. The next day, the Thunderbirds traveled to West Haven and won 3-1. On Oct. 26, North Branford ended the week with a 3-0 victory vs. Portland at home.
