Football

H-K football traveled to North Branford on Oct. 20, where they lost 48-36 in what was a very offense-heavy game. The Cougars featured a balanced offensive attack, getting touchdowns from Josh Frith (2), Bryce Lacoss, Tyler Napierkowski, and Scott Hosney. H-K posted a strong offensive showing for the second consecutive game (the team previously scored 41 points against Windsor Locks on Oct. 13) but surrendered several long touchdowns on defense that sealed their fate.

“Our mantra this year has been ‘so close yet so far,’ and that was certainly the case tonight,” said H-K Head Coach Tyler Wilcox following the contest. “We committed a handful of mistakes in key situations on defense that proved our downfall. Meanwhile, we moved the ball successfully on offense the entire game. I’m proud of the way the kids have improved on offense as the season has gone on.”
