Westbrook Field Hockey Splits the Week and Girls’ Soccer Loses Two

Field Hockey

Westbrook/Old Lyme field hockey opened the week on Oct. 18, hosting Newington and winning 3-0. Lotta Kuenning had one goal and one assist, Brooke Ouellette added another score, and Bella Ziegler also scored. Megan Bache recorded an assist in the game. Grace Vincent had two saves in goal, while Abby Demers had one.

The next day, the team hosted North Branford and fell 6-1. The lone goal for the Knights was scored by Bache. Vincent had 14 saves in net, and Demers recorded one.

Boys’ Soccer

The Westbrook boys’ soccer team played host to Old Lyme on Oct. 16, ending the game in a 2-2 tie. Two days later, the Knights set their sights on Morgan, where they lost 4-3 on the road.

Girls’ Soccer

The girls’ soccer team hit the road to Old Lyme on Oct. 16, taking a 1-0 loss to open the week. Then, on Oct. 20, Westbrook played host to Coginchaug and lost 4-1.
