Old Saybrook Field Hockey, Boys’ Soccer Grab Three Wins Apiece

Morgan-Old Saybrook-Westbrook football traveled to Coginchaug/Hale Ray/East Hampton on Oct. 13 and recorded a 40-0 victory in the contest.
Boys’ Soccer
Old Saybrook boys’ soccer traveled to Morgan on Oct. 9 and won 4-1. Three days later, the Rams hosted East Hampton and recorded a 1-0 victory. Old Saybrook ended the week on Oct. 14, traveling to Hale-Ray and posting a 9-0 shutout.
Girls’ Soccer
The Old Saybrook girls’ soccer team traveled to East Hampton on Oct. 12 and won 1-0. The Rams’ goal was scored by Alexandra Levasseur on a header from an Annalise Sarette cross. Goalkeeper Kylie Lake and the Rams’ defense notched their seventh shutout of the season and have only allowed three goals in eight Shoreline Conference games.
Two days later, the Rams hosted Norwich Free Academy and were edged out by a 1-0 score.
Field Hockey
Old Saybrook field hockey hit the road to face Valley Regional on Oct. 10 and won 2-1. Junior captain Ayla D’Anna scored both goals for the Rams. The first goal was scored midway through the second quarter and assisted by Lila Cadley. The second goal was in the third quarter and assisted by Kendall Dobratz. Junior goalkeeper Erin Fiorelli had three saves.
On Oct. 13, the team hosted Haddam-Killingworth and recorded a 2-0 win. Dobratz scored both goals. The first score came five minutes into the second quarter off an assist by Amelia Sigersmith. Dobratz scored the second goal in the fourth quarter off an assist by Cadley. Fiorelli had five saves on the day.
The next day, Old Saybrook played host to Norwich Free Academy and won 6-0. Dobratz had two goals on the day, scoring the first goal of the game early in the first quarter. D’Anna also scored two goals, while Cadley and Sigersmith also added scores in the win. Sigersmith also recorded two assists, and Cadley had one. Fiorelli made one save in the contest.
