Hand Field Hockey Wins Two, Girls’ Volleyball Has a Tough Week

On Oct. 6, Hand football played host to Wilbur Cross and won a blowout 63-0 game.
Boys’ Soccer
Hand boys’ soccer traveled to Guilford on Oct. 2 and ended in a 2-2 tie. The two Tigers goals were scored by Eli Ackerman and Danny McSweeney. McSweeney and Ernesto Barrosa each recorded an assist. Will Harriman recorded two saves in goal.
On Oct. 5, Hand hosted Jonathan Law and won 3-1. McSweeney scored a goal, Ackerman recorded an assist, Barrosa had two assists, Santi Barrera scored a goal, and Ethan Skonieczny had a goal.
Girls’ Soccer
On Oct. 2, the Hand girls’ soccer team traveled to Guilford and took a 1-0 loss. Three days later, the team traveled to Mercy and fell 1-0.
Girls’ Volleyball
Tigers girls’ volleyball hosted Guilford on Oct. 2, taking a 3-0 loss. Two days later, the team traveled to Shelton and fell 3-0. On Oct. 6, Hand took to the road to Lauralton Hall and took a 3-0 loss.
Field Hockey
Field hockey traveled to Shelton on Oct. 3 to start the week, grabbing a 2-0 win. On Oct. 6, Mercy came to town and the Tigers won 11-0.
