Old Saybrook Field Hockey Splits the Week, Boys’ Soccer Wins Two

Morgan-Old Saybrook-Westbrook football hosted SMSA Co-op on Oct. 6, losing 52-22.
Boys’ Soccer
The Old Saybrook boys’ soccer team traveled to Cromwell on Oct. 2 and won 2-1. On Oct. 5, the team hit the road to North Branford and won 7-0.
Girls’ Soccer
Rams girls’ soccer hosted Cromwell on Oct. 3 and tied 0-0. On Oct. 5, Old Saybrook played host to Middletown and took a 4-2 loss. The next day, the team hosted North Branford/Hale Ray and recorded a 7-0 shutout win.
Field Hockey
Old Saybrook field hockey traveled to face Westbrook/Old Lyme Co-op on Oct. 2, and the Rams recorded a 3-0 win. Goals for the Rams were scored by Ayla D’Anna (2) and Amelia Sigersmith (1). Sigersmith was also credited with an assist in the contest, as was Kendall Dobratz. Erin Fiorelli recorded two saves in goal.
On Oct. 5, the Rams hosted North Branford and fell 4-1. D’Anna tipped in the Old Saybrook goal, assisted by Dobratz. The Old Saybrook goalkeeper had seven saves in the cage against a tough North Branford offense.
