Morgan Girls’ Soccer Wins a Trio, Field Hockey Takes a Loss

Morgan-Old Saybrook-Westbrook football traveled to Cromwell/Portland on Oct. 1 and lost 35-6.
Boys’ Soccer
Boys’ soccer hosted Bacon Academy on Sept. 26 and won 1-0.
Girls’ Soccer
Morgan girls’ soccer hosted East Lyme on Sept. 25 and won 2-0. Goals were scored by Kate Gardner, assisted by Ainsley Lyon, and Maeve Madura, unassisted. Samantha Way recorded seven saves in goal.
On Sept. 28, the Huskies played host to Old Saybrook and won 1-0. Sadie Passante scored the lone goal in the contest, and it was assisted by Madura.
On Sept. 30, the team traveled to Montville and recorded a 2-0 win. Glenda Zhiminicella and Cora Deming scored the two goals for the Huskies, with Madura assisting on both of them. Morgan didn’t allow a single shot on goal.
Field Hockey
The Morgan field hockey team hosted Old Saybrook on Sept. 27 and lost 9-1, its lone game of the week.
Girls’ Volleyball
The Morgan volleyball team hit the road to Amistad on Sept. 25. In the game, the Huskies won 3-0. The next day, the Huskies traveled to Portland and grabbed a 3-0 win. On Sept. 27, Morgan hosted Cromwell and won 3-0 before losing 3-0 at Haddam-Killingworth on Sept. 29.
