Westbrook Boys’ Soccer Loses Two, but Football Rolls to a Win

Morgan-Old Saybrook-Westbrook football hosted Capital/Achievement on Sept. 22 and won 56-28. Casey Corrigan currently leads the team with 86.0 rushing yards per game, while Tyler Baldwin leads in passing yards per game (223.5) and total yards per game (260.5). The leader in total tackles per game is Jack Nye (7.5), while Ethan Lane leads the team in sacks per game (0.5). Nye’s 11.0 points per game is the team leader.

Field Hockey

Westbrook/Lyme-Old Lyme field hockey hosted Haddam-Killingworth on Sept. 19 and ended in a 0-0 tie. Abby Demers recorded one save in goal for the Knights.

On Sept. 21, the team hosted Morgan and won 8-0. Goals for the Knights were scored by Lotta Keunnin (3), Emma Bransfield (2), Alyssa Leandri (2), and Brooke Ouellette (1). Ouellette also recorded an assist, along with Meg Bache (2) and Sybil Neary (2). Demers played goalie for Westbrook in the shutout.

Girls’ Soccer

The Westbrook girls’ soccer team played one game last week, hosting Old Saybrook on Sept. 21 and tying 1-1.

Boys’ Soccer

On Sept. 20, the Westbrook boys’ soccer team traveled to East Hampton and lost 8-0. The Knights then hit the road to Old Saybrook on Sept. 22 and lost 9-0.
