The East Haven football team opened its season on Sept. 8, facing Harding on the road. They took a tough 48-14 loss.
Boys’ Soccer
In the season opener on Sept. 7, boys’ soccer hosted North Haven and took a 3-0 loss.
Girls’ Volleyball
Yellowjackets girls’ volleyball played their season opener at home on Sept. 7, hosting Branford and losing 3-0 (25-12, 25-20, 25-19). Nicole Brown recorded five kills and three aces, Ava Panico added three aces and one dig, and Kelsey Hinckley had four kills. Then on Sept. 9, the team hosted Foran and fell 3-0 (25-14, 25-22, 25-22). Nicole Brown recorded five kills and four aces. Lily Saenz added two kills and Trinity Benson had five kills, four aces, and four digs.
