The U19 Guilford Timbers recently finished their spring season with a record of 10-4-2, scoring 49 goals and allowing 30. The boys won the Connecticut Cup by beating Avon (3-0), New Milford (5-2), Monroe (2-1 in OT) and East Hartford (2-1).
In the championship game, goals were scored by Tyler Yerkes and Owen Medvecky, both assisted by Sami Abughazaleh. This is the end of a long run, as the seniors of this group have been together for over ten years and have won numerous South Central District League Championships, the Avon Memorial Day Tournament, the Glastonbury Hartwell Tournament, Guilford Soccerfest, the 2023 CT Sportsplex Indoor league, the 2018 Connecticut Cup, as well as the 2023 Connecticut Cup.
