Adult Spring Hoops League Wraps Up Regular Season

In Week Nine of the Branford Parks and Rec’s Adult Spring Basketball League, Branford White took down Branford Blue by a score of 86-63. Scoring 22 of his game-high 29 points in the first half of play, Michael Lopes paced Branford White in the regular season finale. JD Shaw added 23 points of his own in the victory. Josh Mahon netted 25 points, including five three-point field goals, to lead the way for Branford Blue.

Branford Red faced Branford Black and won 75-44. Walatsebi Lomotey had a season-best 24 points, and captain Restinel Lomotey chipped in with 17 points of his own. Lyman Depriest connected for 13 points as the team’s high scorer.

Top 10 scorers overall in the league include Michael Lopes (33.6), Justin White (31.0), Restinel Lomotey (19.5), JD Shaw (18.7), Cameron Garfield (15.4), Patrick Olson (14.3), Lyman DePriest (14.1), Josh Mahon (14.1), Ryan Adinolfi (12.1), and Joseph Ball (11.5).

The league now heads into postseason play, with the semifinals taking place on July 10 (Branford White vs. Branford Black and Branford Red vs. Branford Blue), followed by the championship game at 7 p.m. on July 17.
