H-K baseball entered the Class S State Tournament as the No. 3 seed, taking on No. 30 East Hampton in the first round on May 30. The Cougars recorded a 8-0 shutout win in the contest. In the second round the next day, H-K faced 14th-seeded Immaculate and won a tight 4-3 contest. In the quarterfinals on June 3, H-K took down Old Lyme, the No. 6 seed, by a score of 6-3.
Boys’ Lacrosse
H-K boys’ lacrosse fell in the first round of the Class S State Tournament on May 31. As the 10th-seeded team, they faced No. 7 Stonington and lost 12-11.
Softball
H-K softball played in the Class M State Tournament as the No. 13 seed. In the first round on May 30, they defeated No. 20 Rocky Hill by a score of 9-1. The next day in the second round, they took on 29th-seeded East Hampton and won a 12-0 contest. The Cougars advanced to the quarterfinal round on June 3, where they fell to No. 5 Mercy by a score of 2-0.
Girls’ Lacrosse
Girls’ lacrosse played in the qualifying round of the Class S State Tournament on May 27 as the No. 15 seed, falling 10-9 to No. 18 Northwest Catholic to conclude the season.
Boys’ Tennis
Couars boys’ tennis entered the qualifying round of the Class S State Tournament on May 26 as the No. 19 seed. They defeated 14th-seeded Wolcott by a score of 7-0 to advance to the first round the next day. Bryce Leiberman grabbed two 6-0 wins at No. 1 singles. Eddie White won 6-0, 6-0 and Joe Wessinger won 6-1, 6-1, At No. 4 singles, Will Lirot won 1-6, 6-2, 7-6.
For doubles, Agostino Luzietti/Cavin Napoletano won 6-0, 6-3, and Ezekiel Stevens/Saige Merwin and Adam Livingston/Luke Frohlich both won by default. On May 27, H-K played a first-round matchup vs. No. 3 Stonington and lost 6-1. Bryce Leiberman grabbed two 6-2 wins at No. 2 singles.
