North Haven Softball Falls in Conference Final, Several Players Named All-SCC

Softball

North Haven softball began SCC tournament play on May 22 with a 15-3 win over West Haven. On May 23, the Nighthawks faced Cheshire and won 5-3 before falling to Amity by a score of 7-6 in the title game. Several players were named to the All-SCC softball team for this season. Alyssa DiGiovanna, Kayla Balisciano and Jules Galasso made First Team All-Conference. Gabby Blanchard was named to the Second Team.

Baseball

As the baseball season winded down for the Nighthawks, Tyler Kornacki was recognized for his efforts by being named to the First Team All-SCC. Teammate Jack Martineau earned Second Team honors.

Boys’ Lacrosse

Midfielder Jeffrey Karavas was named All-SCC for Division II as was defender Salvatore DeMaio.

Boys’ Tennis

Singles player Lucas de Lencastre was named All-SCC for Tier 2/3, as were doubles players Jess Hansard and Billy Lipinski.

Girls’ Tennis

All-Conference players for girls’ tennis included singles player Sophia Padro for Tier 1.
