In conjunction with National College Commitment Day, Valley Regional High School Athletics celebrated the Class of 2023 seniors that have chosen to continue their athletic career at the collegiate level. The students who were honored were Braeden Sparaco (Southern CT State University), Lucas Rogers (Wilkes University), Colin Carver (Marist College), and Samuel Hutchinson (Central CT State University) all for baseball. Fallyn Belisle committed to Nichols College for field hockey. For men’s lacrosse, Benjamin Costanzo committed to University of Hartford, and Leif Duval committed to North Greenville University. Maizy Libby will be playing women’s lacrosse at Nichols College, and Siena Schaller will be playing women’s basketball at Curry College. Elizabeth Allen has committed to Dickinson College for women’s soccer, while Addison Keyworth will do equestrian at Savannah College of Art and Design. For football, Adam Metz will be attending Castleton University, and Nicholas Cox will go to Colby College. Two athletes will play volleyball in Kaia Karcich at University of Hartford and Sophie Scrivo at Penn State Brandywine.
