Old Saybrook Boys’ Lacrosse Wins One, While Baseball Grabs Two Victories
Baseball
Rams baseball picked up a pair of wins and a loss to bring their season to .500 with a 7-7 record. On May 1, the team hosted Westbrook in a 6-3 victory; Portland came to town on May 3 in a 9-1 Old Saybrook win. The Rams hosted Old Lyme on May 5, falling 12-0 to the visitors.
Boys’ Tennis
Boys’ tennis continued its challenging season with a pair of losses. The team hosted Cromwell on May 1, falling 7-0, before hitting the road to Westbrook on May 3 in a 7-0 loss. The team is now 0-10.
Softball
The tough season continued for softball as the team took a 16-1 loss at home against Old Lyme. The Rams are 0-7 for the season.
Girls’ Tennis
Girls’ tennis snapped a two-game skid, closing out the week with a win. The team traveled to Cromwell on May 1 in a 4-3 loss. They returned home on May 3, hosting Westbrook in a 7-0 loss. The Rams turned it around on May 5, hosting Morgan in a 4-3 victory. The team is now 5-7.
Boys’ Lacrosse
Boys’ lacrosse grabbed a win last week to continue its win streak. The team, now 6-3 for the season, hosted North Branford on May 4 in a 12-9 win.
Girls’ Lacrosse
Girl’s lacrosse added another win to its 7-4 resume after defeating North Branford on the road on May 4. They edged out a 14-13 victory.
Golf
Old Saybrook golf traveled to Valley Regional on May 3 and won by a score of 170-194. Drew Kulmann scored a 36, Rylan Murphy scored a 41, Connor Cassella recorded a 46, and Adam Dower and Jacob Speed each scored a 47.
