Madison Hoop Dreams Summer Basketball Camps
With six weeks of summer camps starting in less than two months, it is time to register for Madison Hoop Dreams. So far, there are campers from 15 area towns. Madison Hoop Dreams is very proud that many parents share with their friends that they have a terrific program and they should send their kids.
Before the pandemic, they were the most popular basketball day camp in Connecticut for over 20 years. The program’s focus is to reclaim that honor.
What makes Madison Hoop Dreams camp so popular is a combination of important factors. Its director, Coach Brett Zanardi, is an assistant coach for the Connecticut College men’s basketball team with over 10 years of camp instruction and leadership. Coach Brett’s assistant is the legendary player from New Haven, Bobby Moore. Their co-director, Tammy Barker Boris, has been working with young people at the camps for over two decades.
They have two coaches for every team of up to 10 players, which enables more instruction and better validation for each player.
They also have speakers like Donovan Clingan (7’2” and 265 pounds), one of the centers for the UConn men’s national championship team.
The daily schedule includes ball handling drills, stations for shooting form, boxing out, and other basketball skills, exciting contests, motivational speakers, and two full games each day.
