H-K Baseball, Girls’ Lacrosse Each Win Two

Baseball

H-K baseball hosted East Hampton on April 12 and grabbed a 7-1 win before defeating Old Saybrook 1-0 at home on April 14.

Softball

H-K softball played one game last week, playing host to Old Saybrook on April 14 and earning a 15-0 dominant win.

Girls’ Lacrosse

The H-K girls’ lacrosse team hosted North Branford on April 11 and won a close 15-14 contest. The Cougars then traveled to Morgan on April 13 and won 11-8.

Boys’ Tennis

Cougars boys’ tennis hosted East Hampton on April 12 and won 7-0.

Singles victories came from Bryce Leiberman (6-0, 6-1), Eddie White (6-0, 6-0), Cav Napoletano (6-2, 6-1), and Will Lirot by default (1-0). On the doubles side, H-K won all three matches by default (1-0).

On April 14, H-K traveled to Cromwell and took a 4-3 defeat. Bryce Leiberman grabbed a victory for singles (6-1, 4-1 ret). The doubles team of Ezekiel Stevens/Saige Merwin (7-6, [10-8], 6-2) grabbed a win as did Joseph Castelli/Thomas Young by default (1-0).

Girls’ Tennis

H-K girls’ tennis played one match this past week, hosting Cromwell on April 14 and falling 5-2.

Boys’ Lacrosse

On April 11, the H-K boys’ lacrosse team traveled to North Branford and lost 6-5. Then on April 13, H-K hosted Morgan and recorded a 7-5 victory.
