East Haven Girls’ Tennis Wins Two; Softball Records Two Losses

Baseball

East Haven baseball took a 16-0 loss at home vs. Amity on April 10 before losing 9-7 at Lyman Hall on April 12. On April 14, the Yellowjackets traveled to Foran and won 6-5.

Softball

The East Haven softball team defeated Hamden at home by a score of 17-0 on April 10. They then hosted Amity on April 12 and took an 8-3 loss before falling 9-4 vs. North Haven on April 14.

Girls' Tennis

East Haven girls' tennis grabbed two road wins last week, defeating Foran on April 12 (4-3) and Lyman Hall on April 13 (5-2).

Boys' Tennis

On April 10, East Haven boys' tennis grabbed a 6-1 win at home over Career Magnet. Wins for the Yellowjackets came from Victor Unabia in singles (6-3, 6-2), Shiv Patel (6-0, 6-0), and Gustavo Flores-Soto by forfeit. For doubles, Mateo Romero/Matteo Martinez, Steve Condo/Jack Castillo, and Angel Vazquez/Jacob Ushchak all won by forfeit.

On April 11, East Haven traveled to Shelton and lost 6-1. The third doubles team of Jacob Ushchak/Justin Sieng grabbed a victory (6-4, 6-4).

On April 14, the Yellowjackets took to the road to face West Haven and lost 7-0.

Golf

East Haven golf started its season on April 3, taking a 195-235 loss to Lyman Hall on the road. The Yellowjackets then traveled to Sheehan on April 6 and took a narrow 203-212 defeat.
