H-K Girls’ Basketball Falls in States; Boys’ Ice Hockey Collects a Shutout Win

The Rocky Hill boys’ ice hockey co-op grabbed a shutout victory on Feb. 27, posting a 5-0 win over Northeastern. The team is 7-13 for the season.
Girls’ Basketball
Girls’ basketball split the week, recording a first-round victory in the Class M State Playoffs before being bounced in the second round. The #19 seed Cougars soundly defeated O’Brien RVT on Feb. 28, 60-22. They faced third-ranked Valley Regional on March 3, and were defeated 52-37. Kaleigh Bodak led the way with 11 points, and Julia Favalora had nine. Ava Raming scored eight points and Ella Commerford added three. Payton Rich and Cheyenne Latouche recorded two points each in the loss.
Boys’ Basketball
Although the boys’ basketball team didn’t have the season they were hoping for this winter, one athlete was recognized for his tremendous efforts on the floor. Sophomore Andrew Crayton was named an Honorable Mention to the Shoreline All-Conference team.
