Boys’ basketball ended the regular season taking a narrow overtime defeat to Montville on Senior Night on Feb. 20, 67-66, bringing their overall season record to 12-8. Kicking off postseason play, the Rams defeated Valley Regional on Feb. 25 49-40 in the quarterfinal round of the SLC tournament.
Boys’ Ice Hockey
Yellowjackets boys’ hockey fell short 5-3 on the road on Feb. 25 against Woodstock Academy. Johnny D’Albero scored all three of the team’s goals. On his first goal, he was assisted by Nick Perillo in the first period. In the second period, D’Albero scored his second goal, assisted by both Perillo and Griffin McGlinchey. At 4:31 of the third period, D’Albero recorded the hat trick, with assists from Perillo and Dylan Ingram. East Haven then faced North Haven at home on Feb. 26, taking a 8-3 loss. They are now 4-8-2 on the season.
Girls’ Ice Hockey
The Daniel Hand girls’ ice hockey co-op took a loss last week to bring their overall record to 7-9-1. They hosted Watertown-Pomperaug on Feb. 22, falling 6-4.
