Westbrook Girls’ Basketball Grabs Two Wins and Boys’ Hockey Takes OT Victory
Boys’ Basketball
The Knights’ tough season continued with two more conference losses. The team traveled to Old Lyme on Feb. 6 in a 46-33 loss. They hosted Portland on Feb. 10 in a 84-52 loss. The team is 0-19 on the season.
Girls’ Basketball
Westbrook girls’ basketball stopped a losing skid, posting a pair of wins over conference opponents. The team hosted Old Lyme on Feb. 6, and they posted a 39-21 victory over the visitors. On Feb. 10, they traveled to Portland for a 51-26 victory. The Knights are now 7-11 for the season.
Boys’ Ice Hockey
The Southington-Coginchaug-Westbrook boys’ ice hockey team took a 4-3 overtime win on Feb. 8 at home vs. Shepaug-Litchfield-Thomaston-Nonnewaug. The team is now 4-12 on the season.
Girls’ Ice Hockey
The Daniel Hand girls’ ice hockey co-op took a loss on the road last week, falling to the Hamden co-op 5-0 on Feb. 8. The team is 10-6 for the season.
