Rams Go Even vs. Cromwell, Valley Regional

The Old Saybrook boys’ basketball team faced Cromwell at home on Jan. 24, losing by a score of 69-51. Victor Payne had 36 points to lead all scorers, and Tyler Daniel had 16 points for Cromwell, as well.

On the Old Saybrook side, Auggie Albert had 20 points and 10 rebounds. Aaron Tolve and London Sweeney each had nine points and six rebounds, and Josh Lech had seven points. Brayden Cody contributed six points.

The Rams then traveled to Valley Regional on Jan. 27, coming away with a 54-46 victory.

Aaron Tolve led the Old Saybrook scoring with 21 points and 10 rebounds. Noah Hubbard contributed with 14 points and seven rebounds, while Auggie Albert had six points and seven rebounds.

Brayden Cody added seven points and three assists, while Josh Lech had four points, two rebounds, and one assist. Drew Kulmann scored two points and collected four rebounds.

Old Saybrook is now 10-3 on the season and will face Hale Ray at home on Tuesday, Jan. 31 (after press time) and Bacon Academy on the road on Thursday, Feb. 2.
